AC Shadows Unveils Bizarre AoT Event for Holiday Season

In a unexpected partnership that breaks traditional predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Revealed

According to the formal release, "An unusual encounter draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where whispers of forbidden practices and fearsome changes reverberate through the shadows." The plot features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine group.

The questline centers on "peculiar tests and a monstrous foe" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Metamorphoses

The trailer features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer finishes with a striking scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Additional Material

Players who successfully complete the adventure will obtain an unique katana in addition to multiple items hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Third Free Story Update

This update also adds the game's latest no-cost story addition, titled "The Mystery." This humorous mission teams Naoe and Yasuke as they trade distinctive abilities: Naoe introduces a theatrical interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns subduing stealth takedowns. True to its name, "The Mystery" also features a new environmental puzzle that may finally shed light on some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
